Lithocholic acid decreases the stability of nuclear receptor PPAR α mRNA by up-regulating miR-21 expression
Lithocholic acid induces the up-regulation of EGR1 and Mir-21 by activating ERK1/2 signaling pathway in hepatocytes, mir-21 acts on the 3' UTR regulatory region to reduce the stability of PPAR α mRNA, thereby reducing PPAR α gene and protein expression levels.
